Stock trading is one of the most popular investment options. Doo Financial provides powerful tools and competitive commissions, giving you access to global markets and opportunities.
Unlike A shares or Hong Kong stocks, U.S. stocks do not adopt the concept of a board lot, and therefore there is no trading unit limit. The minimum trading unit is 1 share.
Day trade is a pattern of security trading. It refers to an investor buying and selling a particular stock or stock options position within the same day. Day trades are also called T+0 trades.
Futures trading involves standardized contracts where buyers and sellers agree to trade an asset at a predetermined price on a specific date. It helps manage price risk while offering investment opportunities.
Initial Margin is the minimum fund amount required to initiate the trading positions while the maintenance margin is the amount of money that client must have in their trading account to holding their existing positions.
There are two different types of settlement for futures namely cash settlement and physical settlement.
The cash settlement method of settling commodities does not involve the physical delivery of the asset(s) under consideration. It instead involves the settlement of net cash on the settlement date.
The physical delivery method of settling commodities involves the literal physical delivery of the underlying asset(s) on the settlement date of contract.
Mutual funds are actively managed (meaning there is a portfolio manager and a team of analysts actively buying and selling securities in the fund to try to get the best return given the mutual fund’s purpose), while an ETF is not actively managed; it follows a pre-existing index.
Bonds are financial instruments issued to raise capital. Investors lend money in exchange for fixed interest income, with options to hold until maturity or trade on the secondary market.
They are inversely correlated. When interest rates fall, bond prices rise; and vice versa. If you buy a bond and hold onto it until it matures - as many investors do - rising interest rates will not affect the principal amount you receive upon maturity. But if the interest rates go up and you need to sell your bonds before they mature, their value may have gone down and you may have to sell them at a loss. If the interest rates have gone down since you bought the bonds, the value of your bonds may have gone up and that will give you what is known as a "capital gain".
Client can sell the bonds before it matures and the selling price is subject to market conditions.
CFD trading lets investors speculate on the price movements of stocks, indices, commodities, and currencies without owning the assets. Profits or losses are based on the difference between the opening and closing prices.
Access the world’s largest market—Forex—with 24/5 trading, fast execution, and leverage to seize opportunities in any market direction.
Also trade gold, silver, and crude oil—liquid assets that hedge against inflation, preserve wealth, and offer profit potential through market volatility.
Doo Financial empowers you with diverse global assets, smart tools, and reliable infrastructure—all in one platform.
Gold CFDs are popular because they allow traders to speculate on gold prices without physically owning the metal. This provides flexibility and leverage, making it easier to enter and exit positions.
The OTC market at Doo Financial offers access to a variety of financial instruments outside traditional exchanges, including stocks, ADRs, bonds, and derivatives. It provides opportunities to invest in smaller or international companies, with the flexibility and lower costs that many businesses prefer. Leverage our expertise to explore this decentralized market and tailor your investment strategies.
OTC trading involves buying and selling financial instruments directly between two parties outside of centralized exchanges. Unlike traditional exchange trading, OTC trades are decentralized, allowing for more flexibility and customization in contract terms, but also less transparency and regulation.
To begin OTC trading, you typically need to find a reputable broker or intermediary that offers OTC trading services. You may need to provide personal and financial information and undergo a due diligence process before being allowed to trade.
Stock index options allow traders to buy or sell contracts giving the right to trade an index at a specified price before a set date. Based on broad indices like the S&P 500, they offer leverage for market speculation, diversification, and hedging without owning individual stocks.
Index options are based on a large basket of stocks, allowing for diversified exposure to the market. Unlike single stock options, index options are typically cash-settled and cannot be exercised before expiration, which is usually European-style.
Trading index options offers leverage, allowing for larger positions with less capital. It also provides a way to diversify portfolios and hedge against market risks without needing to trade individual stocks. Additionally, index options can be used to speculate on broad market movements.
